Hi Friends! My name is Cathy Dulgar. I live in Belvidere Illinois with my home church being Immanuel Lutheran Church. I was blessed to work on staff at Immanuel for 6 years. I was introduced to the Belize Mission Society in 2013 and have served as the team leader for Immanuel since 2014. I served on the Belize Mission Society Board of Directors for September 2014 – July 2020, holding the role of Chairman for the last two years.
I fell in love with the Belize Mission Society and her relational short-term missional work and mercy care for the people in Belize. The BMS has worked hard to build relationships within the village of Seine Bight which allow us to continue to be the hands and feet of Jesus when we cannot be in Belize. I am humbled and honored to continue the work of the BMS as we join Jesus on His mission in Belize.
Founder
Sometimes God calls ordinary people who are curious about how they might make a difference to serve in simple, yet extraordinary, ways. This happened to the founder of the Belize Mission Society, Miss Sue, when she first visited Seine Bight in 2002. As she and others listened to this call, befriending local villagers in the community, the seeds of Belize Mission Society were planted.

After over 150 visits with teams to Belize, the mission has been shared with thousands of people across the US and with generations of people in Seine Bight. If you have ever walked with Miss Sue in the village you understand her love each of the villagers.
