Elementary School age children:
Imagine if you did not have the opportunity to attend Elementary School? What would your life be like?
Many children are unable to attend school because of the cost of tuition. Many who were attending were going to school hungry because they could not afford lunch in addition to tuition. Food For Thought grew from the request to assist those who were not attending school and those who were going to school hungry. Registration fees, uniforms, supplies and lunch are provided for the students for $60 per month. Lunch only is provided for $30 per student per month. For less than a cup of coffee per day...a child will receive a hot nutritious lunch. YOU can make a difference for less than a cup of coffee a day.
High School aged children:
For most children education ends after elementary school. You hang out in the Village and you try to figure out a way to go to High School. Maybe you try to do some work...but difficult without experience or education. The Principal and Village leaders along with a Village committee present students based on capacity and need to the Belize Mission Society. But many are not currently in the program, due to limited funding. We need your help. We are currently support over 25 students in the high schools: books, registration, uniforms and supplies. Four times that many would like to attend high school. Support a deserving child in high school for $60 month. Make a difference by giving hope and a future to a youth. If you believe in them, they will have a chance to change the future.
